Need a locksmith in Terra Nova? We serve the upscale homes and strata townhomes of Richmond's far northwest corner — from the West Dyke Trail edge to Terra Nova Shopping — typically within 25–35 minutes, any hour.
Mobile and licensed, serving the quiet waterfront-edge neighbourhood on Richmond's northwest tip — upscale single-family homes, strata townhomes, and the Terra Nova Rural Park boundary.
Terra Nova sits in the far northwest of Richmond, bounded by the West Dyke Trail and the Lulu Island shoreline to the north and west, Williams Road to the south, and No. 1 Road to the east. It's one of Richmond's most distinctive neighbourhoods: a pocket of planned residential development wrapped around the Terra Nova Rural Park and its community gardens, with views across the North Arm of the Fraser toward Sea Island. The residential mix leans toward upscale single-family homes built in the 1990s through early 2000s, alongside a number of strata townhome complexes on the south end near Cambie Road and Railway Avenue.
The single-family homes here often have more elaborate entry hardware than typical Richmond subdivision stock. We see a lot of Schlage B-series deadbolts paired with matched handlesets, older Emtek and Baldwin hardware on higher-end homes, and occasionally European-style multi-point locking systems on more architecturally distinctive builds. The multi-point systems are more common on larger custom homes along the dyke edge; these require different service tools than a standard single-point deadbolt and we carry the relevant hardware.
The strata townhomes clustered near the south end of Terra Nova — complexes off Railway Avenue and Granville Avenue — tend to run Schlage and Weiser deadbolts from their original construction in the mid-to-late 1990s. Many of these have been rekeyed through multiple tenancies and the cylinders show it; when a cylinder gets to the point where the key requires firm pressure to turn, that's usually a worn bottom pin or a binding key cut. We diagnose on-site and rekey or replace as needed.
Terra Nova's location at the northwest extremity of Richmond means arrival times are slightly longer than central Richmond areas. From our dispatch point we route through No. 1 Road or Williams Road west — both are efficient outside of the morning school-zone traffic window on Williams. The neighbourhood itself is quiet, with no through-traffic congestion once you're past the Garden City Road intersection.
The Terra Nova Shopping Centre at the corner of No. 1 Road and Williams provides the neighbourhood's main retail anchor. We get occasional commercial calls from tenants in that plaza for rekeying after staff changes and lock replacements on retail roll-up doors — we handle those on the same dispatch basis as residential calls.
We reach Terra Nova via No. 1 Road heading northwest, or via Williams Road west from Garden City. Arrival is typically 25–35 minutes from central Richmond. We quote before we drive. No ambiguity at the door about what it costs.
